Wildcats sweep Bombers, Prepare to Host Provincials!

The Kings Mutual Valley Wildcats Major Bantams defeated the Wear Well Bombers 4-0 in Game 2 of their best of three playoff series on Saturday night in Berwick.  With the win the Wildcats swept the series and now prepare to host the NSMBHL provincial tournament on March 16-19 at the Kings Mutual Century Center.

On Saturday night the Wildcats got 19 saves from goaltender Seth Routledge and two goals each in the 3rd period from Joe Parsons and Zachary Godbout to post the victory.  Colby Ramsey (with 2), Blake Deacon, Connor Deluney, Brent Levy, Nathan Walton & Kyle Corbin added assists.

The Wildcats are very excited to be hosting this years Provincial Tournament.  The VCats will open up the provincial tournament with a 12:00 PM game against the Dartmouth Whalers on Thursday March 16th.  The Wildcats will have two games on Friday March 17th, at 2:00 PM against The Novas and again at 8:00 PM against the Bedford Barons.  The Wildcats wrap up their round robin schedule with an 8:00 AM game against the ACA Rangers on Saturday the 18th.  Semi Final games will be held on Saturday at 5:00 & 7:30, while the bronze medal and gold medal games will go Sunday the 19th at 10:00 AM & 1:00 PM respectively.  The winner of the tournament will go on to represent Nova Scotia at the Atlantic Championships in PEI from April 6-9th.
