2016-10-04The Kings Mutual Valley Wildcats Major Bantam team continued their winning ways this past weekend posting a 3-2 overtime victory on Saturday night against the Accel Hawks before scoring an 8-4 win over the Pro Hockey Life Harbour Storm on Sunday. On Saturday Joe Parsons scored the overtime winner and Grant Sanford made 21 saves for the win. On Sunday the line of Owen Stockdale, Dylan Schofield & Zac Godbout led the way offensively combining for 10 points in the win while Seth Routledge earned the win in goal. The two wins pushed the Wildcats win streak to 6 games and allowed them to remain on top of the NSMBHL standings with 15 points. The NSMBHL schedule takes a break this coming weekend for the Atlantic Challenge Cup in Moncton, where defenseman Cameron Whynot will captain Nova Scotia's U-14 team, and defenseman Brent Levy will suit up for the U-15 squad. Please join us in congratulating these two players on this honor and wishing them all the best this weekend. The Wildcats return to action on October 15th in Truro and play their next home games on October 28th & 29th in Berwick against the Western Hurricanes.
